The Method Megah
- Coronary CT Scan: Recent technological advancements have allowed cardiac CT, both with and without medium of contrast, to become a legitimate part of the diagnostic arsenal for coronary artery disease. The two techniques currently in use are the Calcium Score Index and Coronary CT Angiography.
- Calcium Score Index: This evaluates coronary calcifications. For patients undergoing this diagnostic investigation, the Calcium Score Index is performed. If the score exceeds certain clinical thresholds, a CT scan with contrast medium will be required subsequently.
All images are interpreted by Professor Gardi and his team. Following the results of other instrumental tests defined by the MEGAH protocol, they will issue the final report, indicating the identified risk factors and the most appropriate clinical-scientific solutions.
After the patient’s medical history is taken, the following assessments are performed:
- CALCIUM SCORE INDEX
- 3D CARDIO PREDICTIVE RESOLUTION CT SCAN
- ECG
- DOPPLER ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
- ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND
- CARDIOLOGICAL EXAMINATION
- CVR EVALUATION
- FINAL REPORT
